Study: SwissDRG - Diagnostic 500 days away

The Swiss healthcare system is on the eve of a considerable change regarding the financing of inpatient-care, transitionning from a daily valuation of treatment to a diagnostic based valuation.
The modification aims to put in place a more efficient system while providing an incentive towards cost control. Starting  January 1st 2012, the billing partners will be constrained into integrating the new system that is an adaptation of the German "G-DRG".

The study made by Newtone Associates aims to explain this change and allow for a preview of the lessons that are to be had form the DRG introduction in other countries.
